Have you ever wanted bird that you didn't feel bad about keeping in a cage? A bird that was so domesticated that there is no chance of it screaming all day long, plucking itself, biting you, or becoming unfriendly? Then Mighty might be the answer for you! He's a Serama, the smallest chicken breed in the world. Fully grown he'll be smaller than an African gray parrot. He's very sweet and will even lie on his back for you. He's happy to take baths in the sink like a small dog in order to keep the dust down and you can even buy diapers for him so he can run around your house.
Mighty would be content to live in either a bird cage or a critter cage. When the weather gets warmer you can even put him outside in a bunny hutch or chicken tractor. He's fully flighted and because of his size can fly just as well as any parrot but just like a parrot you can clip his wings.
Mighty is a rooster so he's not silent but he's close to it. Being a Serama his crowing sounds more like a broken toy than a regular rooster and is only about a fourth as loud. He'll crow a few times a day and if you don't want him to make noise at night all you have to do is cover up his cage or keep him in a dark room.
I'm looking for a PET home for Mighty as he has a crooked beak that should disqualify him from a breeding home. He also would do poorly in a utilitarian home as he is NOT acclimated to the weather at this point and can't go outside without freezing. Let me know if you have any questions. I will not ship. Sorry.
